And You Are Invited!!
In 1972 a group of pastors and businessmen banded together to purchase the property and form the board of what became The Anchorage Camp and Conference Center.

This August marks 50 years of operations for the camp. We’re going to celebrate…And You Are Invited!!
​
Saturday, Aug 13th, beginning at 10AM and continuing until…….we are opening up the facilities and program opportunities for whoever wishes to attend to help us celebrate these 50 years of ministry.
​
The format will be family oriented very similarly to one of the Memorial Day or July 4th celebrations which we have hosted almost since the beginning, or, more recently, “Church at the Lake” and 1-day family/senior citizen outings.
​
The lake will be available for boat sports, kayaking, etc. (weather permitting) and will be supervised. Of course, the skating rink, climbing wall, gym activities, Ga-Ga Ball, ax throwing, Kubb, cornhole, and all sorts of other opportunities will also be available.
​
Or just sit and relax with friends and family as you so choose.
​
We will be providing one of our famous Anchorage buffet lunches around 1PM. Some of our local supporting churches will be providing a light supper Saturday evening for those who can stay that long.
​
Jeannie and I are currently in the process of moving into the completely renovated director’s residence which so many have so kindly put in effort and materials. It has been a 2½ year endeavor, but the results are well worth the wait. There will be an open-house for the residence throughout much of the day.
​
About 4PM we will stop for a praise service. Our summer staff will be around to provide music and such. But we particularly want to focus on praising God for the thousands of opportunities to preach the Gospel, and the hundreds that have received Christ over the years of preaching that Gospel. If you have a testimony of salvation that resulted from some contact through the camp or one of its programs, I would love for you to communicate it with me either that day (if you are able to be present) or prior (if not). Most of all I want to make sure Christ is honored for what He has done for 50 years now and for what He is going to accomplish for the next 50 years should He delay His coming.

There is no charge for this day. We just want you and your family to be a part of our celebrating the Lord’s goodness for 50 years. If you should wish to come in on Friday, or stay over on Saturday we would be happy to house you in one of our very nice cottage rooms on a first come, first served basis.

We ask only a few things:​

If you plan to stay only for the day, please email info@anchoragecamp.org so we know to expect you.
This is a family day; adults, couples, seniors, and families with their children are welcome, however, please do not drop off unattended children.

As you are able, please join us for this very special day. Bring any memories or memorabilia that may be appropriate. Pray with us that God will be honored through this weekend and provide the guidance only He can give as we move into a new generation of ministry.
